We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our growing healthcare team. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering individualised care to service users with a range of mental health needs. Whether you’re supporting patients through recovery or managing crises with calm and clarity, your role will be pivotal in helping people achieve better outcomes.

Experience

Minimum 1–2 years’ post-registration experience in mental health settings (inpatient, community, or crisis teams preferred).
Newly qualified nurses with placement experience and a passion for mental health are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding, evidence-based care to patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Build therapeutic relationships and offer emotional support to service users and their families.
  • Administer medication, monitor effectiveness, and manage side effects in line with clinical guidelines.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and support staff.
  • Participate in care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Contribute to a safe, supportive, and inclusive ward or community environment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with NMC standards.

Skills Must Have

  • NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
  • Knowledge of mental health conditions and therapeutic interventions.
  • Excellent assessment, decision-making, and crisis management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and resilient approach to care.
  • Ability to work under pressure while remaining calm, focused, and empathetic.
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
